A former child prodigy whose gifts may have surpassed even Mozart’s, Felix Mendelssohn became one of the leading composers and conductors of the early 1800s, championing the rediscovery of Johann Sebastian Bach and even tutoring Queen Victoria – all before his life was cut tragically short at age 38.

Join Chamber Music Tulsa and musicologist Jason Heilman for a lively introduction to one of European music’s pivotal figures, whose chamber music will be heard on three of this season’s programs.
