Magic City Book is thrilled to welcome bestselling author Jonathan Evison for an in-store event to celebrate the publication of his new novel The Heart of Winter on Friday, January 10 at 7:00 pm. This free event will take place in the Algonquin Room at Magic City Books, 221 E Archer Street in the Tulsa Arts District. Joining Jonathan in conversation will be Tulsa based novelist Richard Cox.
Jonathan Evison is the author of numerous novels including Lawn Boy, a frequent target of book challenges across the country. Evison is also the host of the new podcast, A Fresh Face in Hell.
In Evison’s new book The Heart of Winter, he explores 70 years of big moments in subtle ways, elegantly braiding a married couple’s turbulent history with their present-day battles, showing us how the oddly paired college kids became parents, fell apart and back together, and grew into the Abe and Ruth of today.
