Magic City Books welcomes author Larry Baker for an in-conversation event with Jeff Martin, co-founder and president of Magic City Books on Tuesday June 27. This free event will take place in the Algonquin Room at 7:00 pm.
Larry Baker is the bestselling author of many books including The Flamingo Rising which was adapted to a feature film starring William Hurt and Elizabeth McGovern.
Larry and Jeff will discuss Larry’s latest book, Harry and Sue, a love story disguised as a ghost story, or maybe a ghost story disguised as a love story.
On a rainy night a taxi driver finds himself inside a boarded-up movie theatre, where he meets a cast of famous ghosts. From Houdini and Mark Twain to Will Rogers and Marilyn Monroe, it’s a world where magical realism meets memories.
