Larry Lancaster In Person

Magic City Books is proud to welcome Larry Lancaster for an in person event to celebrate his book, Yellowstone National Park Travel Posters: The First 100 Years.
Larry will present on the evolution of how Yellowstone was represented in art and advertisements through the last 16 decades. Lancaster developed a deep interest in Yellowstone while working as a manager for Yellowstone Park Service Stations (YPSS). He is a public speaker on Yellowstone historical topics, a frequent contributor to the Yellowstone History Journal and an author of two books
Larry, a Texan by birth, graduated from the University of Colorado in 1971 with degrees in computer science, mathematics and philosophy. During those university years, he developed a deep interest in Yellowstone while working five summers in the Park for Yellowstone Park Service Stations (YPSS). Post college, he spent his professional life in high performance computing, all the while making Yellowstone a yearly travel destination.
Larry is a public speaker on Yellowstone historical topics, a frequent contributor to the Yellowstone History Journal and an author of two books: Haynes Product Catalogs – 1876 to 1967 and Yellowstone Travel Posters – the First 100 Years.
He and his wife Thea, who he met while both worked in Yellowstone, live in Tulsa, Oklahoma and are the parents of two daughters, Dr. Amanda Lancaster of St. Louis, Missouri and Dr. Emily Boldrin of Evergreen, Colorado.
