Magic City Books is proud to welcome co-founder of OK, SO Tulsa Storyslam, Michelle Bias for a special book launch event celebrating the publication of her first book, String Theory: A Life on Thursday, January 16 at 7:00 pm. This free event will take place in the Algonquin Room at Magic City Books, 221 E Archer Street. Michelle will be joined in conversation by Tulsa Artist Fellow in Residence Karl Jones.
String Theory, A Life offers a prismatic picture of being born into a tradition of addiction, misogyny, and complex love – and then slowly being born again. The little girl and then young woman struggle, often blindly, with the danger of depending on others for her self-concept.
Ultimately, this is a story of emergence and journeying to the other side of survival into thriving.
