Ned Blackhawk

April 1 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Our evening with National Book Award Winner Ned Blackhawk, author of The Rediscovery of America: Native Peoples and the Unmaking of U.S. History, is now SOLD OUT.
In his book, Ned Blackhawk interweaves five centuries of Native and non‑Native histories, from Spanish colonial exploration to the rise of Native American self-determination in the late twentieth century. Blackhawk’s retelling of U.S. history acknowledges the enduring power, agency, and survival of Indigenous peoples, yielding a truer account of the United States and revealing anew the varied meanings of America.
Blackhawk will give a public lecture on April 1 at the Oklahoma Center for the Humanities, located at 101 E. Archer St., Tulsa, Oklahoma 74103. Join us for a reception and book signing at 5 p.m. preceding the lecture at 6 p.m.
Magic City Books will be on site selling copies of Blackhawk’s book throughout the event. You can pre-order a copy at: https://magiccitybooks.square.site/product/rediscovery-of-america/1960.
